I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, where I spent my childhood immersed in adventure stories, often cultivating elaborate imaginary worlds right in my bedroom and backyard. This early love for "pretend play" naturally evolved into a deep passion for film, creative writing, and theater during high school.
However, my professional path took an unexpected turn first. I attended the business schools at the University of Georgia and the University of Texas before joining what I like to call the "creative utopia" of public accounting!
The Pivot to Creativity
Everything changed when I became a mother. I chose to leave the corporate world to spend my days in the blissful, chaotic, and imaginative land of raising children. In our home, storytelling and entertaining became a daily necessity.
During those "wee hours" between parenting and daily life, I stayed busy by:
Launching a family photography business.
Writing children’s books.
Developing multi-award-winning screenplays.
From Screenplays to Novels
With the incredible encouragement of my family and friends, I finally found the courage to step into a new chapter and pen my first novel, Keep Close.
Today, I live in Atlanta, GA, with my husband and our three children. They are the true joys of my life and serve as my greatest inspiration for every story I tell.
